Back in the early aughts, I once tried to purchase roxannepalmer.com, but it was already occupied by some sort of videographer-artist also named Roxanne Palmer. My doppleganger’s work seemed to consist largely of dubbing conversations she’d recorded of men in bars or on the street hitting on her on top of footage she’d shot of pigeons’ mating rituals in public parks. It was actually pretty cool.
Anyway, this is a roundabout way of saying that if you are looking for that Roxanne Palmer, I am not her- I am a journalist and writer who works in print, audio, and multimedia, and this is my little online portfolio slash sandbox.
And if you yourself are the pigeon-recording video artist Roxanne Palmer, I hope things are well with you and thanks for relinquishing the claim to our namesake domain.
Note that around here we are going to make egregious use of the Oxford comma. Also I kind of hate the word “blog” so I will generally avoid using it, and if necessary will use “b—” or “b***” as the mood strikes. Not that there’s going to be much b****ing around here anyway.
